Recipe #8 - Pork Adobo with Boiled Egg


INGREDIENTS

  • Pork. Adobo/Menudo cut. Sliced into bite-size cubes. 1/4kgs
  • 3 cloves of Garlic. You can add more if you want more. Diced.
  • 1/2 of a big white Onion. Diced.
  • Bay Leaves (Laurel Leaves). 2-4 pieces.
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 7 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1-2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Oyster Sauce
  • Eggs. Boiled. Hard-Boiled or Semi-soft boiled.


PROCEDURE

1. Heat your pan and oil. Sautee your garlic. Then follow it with your onions.

2. Add your pork cubes. Fry it till it gets a brown crust.


3. Salt and Pepper to taste. Add your bay leaves as well.

4. Add your soy sauce. 


5. Bring to boil. Then add your Oyster sauce.

6. Let it Simmer. Then add your sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.


7. Add water enough to submerge everything. Bring to boil.

8. Lower the heat. Then cover your pan. Slow cook till meat is soft. Add more water if needed. 

9. Once the meat is soft and tender, Add your vinegar. Don't cover or stir. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

10. Continue cooking till the sauce thickens to your preference.
11. Add your hard-boiled eggs. Stir gently until the egg is coated with your sauce. 
12. Transfer to a serving place. Enjoy!
