Recipe #4 - Home-made Teriyaki Sauce

Recipe #4 - Home-made Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients that I used

  • 125ml Soy Sauce
  • 100ml Mirin (a type of Rice Wine popular in Japanese Cooking)
  • 100ml Japanese Cooking Sake
  • 45g White Sugar (~ 1.58oz)

Procedure
1. Get a pot and add your sugar.
2. Then add all your liquids.
3. Turn on the stove at low-medium heat and stir everything until the sugar is fully melted.
4. Done! Transfer in a container

Pro-Tip
It's advisable to use quality Japanese Soy Sauce for this. But for me, I just use a local soy sauce (Silver Swan). Taste your sauce after mixing and maybe add more sugar if in case the soy sauce that you used has a strong taste.
Also, no need to store it inside the fridge. Just store it in a cool dry place in your kitchen.
